Car Key Replacement & Fob Programming by Make
A working reference to the keys, fobs, and smart keys we cut and program for every major brand on the road in Palm Beach County.
Choose your vehicle's make below to see how its keys evolved across the years, which blanks, chips, and fobs each generation uses, and what we need to know to cut and program a replacement at your location. Every van carries cutting and programming equipment, so most lost-key and spare-key jobs are finished curbside in one visit.

Car key types explained
Older mechanical keys
Found on many vehicles built before the late 1990s. These all-metal keys have no chip, so they can be cut by code from your VIN or duplicated directly from an existing key. Because there is no electronic component to program, they are the fastest and most affordable key to replace, and we can usually cut a working spare on the spot. If you have lost every copy, we read the lock or pull the code to make a brand-new key from scratch.
Transponder keys
Carry a small chip in the plastic head that must be programmed to the car's immobilizer. Without the right code, the engine will not start even if the blade fits the ignition and turns. We cut the metal blade to match your locks and then program the chip to your specific vehicle using professional diagnostic tools, so the new key both unlocks the doors and starts the engine. Most cars from the late 1990s through the 2010s use this style.
Remote head keys
Combine a cut blade with lock, unlock, and trunk buttons in a single unit, sometimes with a flip-out blade. Both the blade and the remote have to be cut and paired to the vehicle for everything to work together. We handle the full job in one visit: cutting the key, programming the transponder, and syncing the remote buttons so you are not left juggling a separate fob. If a worn button or cracked case is the real problem, we can often re-shell the key instead of replacing it.
Proximity and smart keys
Let you unlock the doors and start the car without taking the key out of your pocket. They are programmed to a specific vehicle and cannot be shared between cars, which is also what keeps them secure. We source the correct smart key for your make and model, program it to your car, and pair the keyless-entry functions on site. A dead coin-cell battery often mimics a failed key, so we check that first before recommending a full replacement and can save you the cost.
Push-to-start systems
Keyless ignitions that rely on a properly paired smart key or fob held inside the cabin. We supply and program replacements so a lost smart key does not mean a tow to the dealer or a long wait for parts. If all keys are lost, we can add a new one and, when the system allows it, delete the missing key from the car's memory so it can no longer start your vehicle. Our mobile vans carry the diagnostic gear to do this right in your driveway.
Flip keys (switchblade keys)
Fold the cut metal blade neatly into the fob body and spring it out at the push of a button, so the blade is protected in your pocket. Most carry a transponder chip and lock or unlock buttons, which means the blade has to be cut to your locks and the chip programmed to your car for it to start. A loose hinge, a worn spring, or a snapped blade is one of the most common reasons these keys fail, and in many cases we can rebuild the housing and move your working electronics into a fresh case instead of selling you a whole new key. When a flip key is lost entirely, we cut and program a replacement on site.
